Keynote: Beyond 2024 | Gene Marks
Political, ‎Economic, And ‎Tech Trends That ‎Will Affect Your Business In ‎The Next Three ‎Years...And The ‎Actions You Should ‎Take

The 2024 elections loom and this year the stakes are high for your business. Inflation remains sticky. Labor is still in short supply and regulatory agencies are active. Many tax breaks are expiring.  AI is taking over the world and succession planning is now a bigger challenge.

What’s next for your business? What are other businesses doing to navigate their ways towards growth and profitability in 2024 and beyond? How are they attracting and retaining talent? How are they dealing with new rules impacting their workplace? What tax moves are they making now? What technologies are they investing in? What are you now to build value in your business for future generations…or buyers? How will both national and local elections potentially impact your business and what steps should you be taking now to prepare yourself?

During this fast paced, non-political, entertaining and extremely valuable discussion, Gene will go over real life, feet-on-the- ground strategies and tactics that smart leaders are using to navigate their way through potential changes in our country’s leadership, challenges in the current economy, and the spending and investment decisions required so that they can position their companies for future growth.

Keynote: Staying Ahead of the Curve in 2025–2026 | Taylor St. Germain

2024 has included a tapestry of conflicting economic trends, with some industries enjoying ongoing growth and others in overt recession. Manufacturing and much of the industrial portion of the economy experienced a mild recession, but that decline will soon give way to rise and additional opportunities in 2025 and 2026 for well-prepared businesses. The services sector of the economy slowed in its rate of rise in 2024 and is expected to increase its rate of rise in 2025 and into 2026. Join us for our outlook for key industries over the next two years. We will discuss consumer spending, inflation, interest rates, the labor market, and key leading indicators. Our examination will extend to global markets and their impact on the domestic landscape. This presentation will provide information on necessary tactics and strategies that will prepare you for an upswing in the business cycle post 2024. Knowledge gained from the presentation, in conjunction with ITR Economics’ time-tested analytical tools, will provide you the means to maximize profit in the years ahead.

Taylor will also address emerging vertical markets such as semi-conductors, modular building and  EV batteries to help our members identify new opportunities.

2024 Update on Hydrocarbon Based Tackifiers
Steve Williams, Argus Media

This presentation will provide an annual update on global hydrocarbon based tackifier capacity and production trends and highlight upcoming capacity projects around the globe. New Capacity continues to come online in Asia-Pacific in a market already oversaturated with capacity. This has implications for both sourcing decisions and trade flows, both of which will be discussed. A comparison of production capacity for the largest HCR producers and how dramatically this has changed since late in the last decade will also be included.
