Nominations: Technical Track Dahlquist Judges
The Carl Dahlquist Award is named for innovator Dahlquist, who developed the Dahlquist “Technical Criterion of Tack,” which determines if the modulus value of a material necessary is low enough and tacky enough to be considered a pressure sensitive adhesive. PSTC started the recognition in 1986. PSTC presents the Dahlquist Award to one speaker during its annual technical conference who, following the evaluation of a panel of judges, demonstrates the very best in research relating to adhesive tape technology. The selection covers a range of criteria, concentrating on originality and scientific contribution, but also includes presentation and quality of visuals.
The recipient is notified post Tape Week. Recipient will receive a plaque and an opportunity to service as a Dahlquist Judge at the following Tape Week.
Nominations: PSTC President
The President’s Award recognizes and honors an outstanding volunteer(s) whose leadership, dedication, and service have significantly advanced the mission and vision of PSTC through active committee involvement and volunteer efforts. Candidates are nominated by the PSTC President.
Criteria
Nominees should demonstrate the following qualities and contributions:
- Demonstrates strong leadership and works collaboratively to build consensus within the committee while positively contributing to the objectives outlined in the committee charter.
- Successfully engages and interacts with committee members, the Board of Directors, and staff in a professional and constructive manner.
- Advances the mission and vision of PSTC through meaningful contributions, expertise, talent, and service.
- Unselfishly gives their time and remains dedicated to the overall success and growth of PSTC.
- Achieves measurable results through individual and/or group committee initiatives, tasks, or projects that can be clearly attributed to the nominee’s efforts and leadership.
Nominations: General Membership and Board of Directors
The PSTC Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who are soon-to-be retired or currently retired and who have made outstanding and lasting contributions to PSTC and/or the pressure-sensitive tape industry as a whole.
Honorees are nominated by the general membership and selected by the PSTC Board of Directors.
Hall of Fame inductees are recognized at the PSTC Fall Member Meeting.
Distinguished Service Recognition
Nominations: Member Company
Pressure Sensitive Tape Council is pleased to officially establish the Distinguished Service Recognition to honor individuals who have demonstrated long-standing commitment, leadership, and meaningful contributions to the industry throughout their careers.
This recognition is intended for individuals who are retiring during the current calendar year and who have actively supported the industry through volunteerism, committee participation, leadership, collaboration, mentorship, and service to the association and its members.
The Distinguished Service Recognition serves as an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the professional accomplishments, dedication, and lasting impact these individuals have made within the industry and the PSTC community.
Recognition is typically presented during the Fall Leadership Forum; however, presentations may also take place during Tape Week depending upon the individual’s official retirement date and event timing.
Extra Mile Award
Nominations: Peer Based
The Extra Mile Award is a peer-based recognition honoring an active volunteer who consistently exceeds expectations in their role and demonstrates exceptional dedication in support of PSTC initiatives.
This individual collaborates effectively with staff, board members, and committee volunteers while exemplifying professionalism, teamwork, and a positive commitment to the organization’s success. Through their willingness to go beyond standard responsibilities, they make a meaningful and lasting impact on PSTC and its members.
Criteria
Nominees should demonstrate the following qualities:
- Consistently exceeds expectations in their volunteer role and responsibilities
- Demonstrates exceptional dedication and reliability in supporting PSTC programs and initiatives
- Collaborates effectively with staff, committee members, and industry peers
- Exhibits professionalism, teamwork, and a positive attitude
- Takes initiative and willingly contributes beyond standard expectations
- Makes a meaningful impact that supports the mission, vision, and overall success of PSTC
- Serves as a positive representative of PSTC within the industry and volunteer community
