Supply Chain Panel

Participants: Henkel, Momentive, and Channeled Resources Group.

Representatives will share their perspective and market insight related to critical factors impacting the current tape industry supply chain.  Attendees will have an opportunity to engage in an open dialog through a moderated panel session, as it pertains to common challenges facing our raw materials, critical feed stock, and the interconnections among suppliers and manufacturers.  Each panelist will highlight their position within the tape industry supply chain and discuss the current trends.

He is well versed in Multiple roles within the finance / banking for major LATAM institutions- trading, M&A, treasury (Sao Paulo). He holds a Master in International Management, CEMS (HEC Paris, WU Vienna, FGV) and Bachelor in Business Administration, FGV – EAESP (Sao Paulo).

Dan Jeffery
Global PSA Marketing Manager, Momentive Performance Products

Daniel (Dan) Jeffery is Global PSA Marketing Manager for Momentive Performance Products, responsible for their global product line and product development portfolio. Dan has over 25years experience with tapes and coatings in a variety of Technical and Manufacturing roles, starting life as a Technologist in a tape lab, and working through to be the R&D Director for a global tape company. He also has experience in medical device design and production. Dan has a BSc (Hons) in Polymer Science and Technology from MMU in the UK, and is highly experienced in R&D leadership, Operations, Process Improvement and Problem Solving.

Todd Schweigert
General Manager, Release Liner Division, Channeled Resources Group

Todd Schweigert is the General Manager of Channeled Resources Group’s (CRG) Release Liner Division. Utilizing his 30 years of experience in the release liner industry, he facilitates CRG’s liner growth. Todd’s expertise includes extensive knowledge of base paper and film properties, adhesive and silicone chemical characteristics and subsequent liner requirements. Todd’s favorite, servicing the customer above all else. Prior to the Liner industry, Todd spent 5 years with tesa tapes in their Specialty and Double coated tapes SBU.
When he’s not talking about release liner, Todd enjoys living in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, where he spends his time fishing, snowmobiling and pontooning with his wife and kids.

Robert Dietz

Presentation Topic: Housing Headwinds in 2022

Robert Dietz, Ph.D. is the Chief Economist for NAHB, where he leads a team of 12 economists whose responsibilities include forecasts of housing and economic trends, survey research, and home building industry and policy analysis. Dr. Dietz has published academic research on the private and social benefits of homeownership, federal tax expenditure estimation, and other housing topics. He is the nation’s leading analyst of the residential construction industry. Dr. Dietz has testified before the House Ways and Means Committee, the Senate Finance Committee, and the Senate Banking Subcommittee on Economic Policy on housing, economic, and tax issues. He is a member of the Blue Chip, Wall Street Journal, and other top national forecasting panels has co-chaired the National Association for Business Economics construction/real estate group, and is commonly cited on CNBC, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, and NPR. Prior to joining NAHB in 2005, Robert worked as an economist for the Congressional Joint Committee on Taxation where he estimated the federal budget impact of tax law changes associated with housing and real estate issues. He is a native of Dayton, Ohio, attended George Washington University as an undergraduate, and earned a Ph.D. in Economics from The Ohio State University in 2003.


Jason Zajac

Presentation Topic: The Long & Short of medical stick-to-skin adhesives- What’s trending in long-term and short-term adhesives for the stick-to-skin markets using PSA

Jason has over 18 years of experience in the tapes and converting industry. He has worked at the OEM level at Avery Dennison where he was in Sales and Business Development of PSA for 5 years covering the Midwest and West Coast for them. Jason moved to California in 2011 and then moved into the converting side of the business. He was offered an equity stake at a small converter, MBK Tape Solutions in LA. Jason ran MBK for almost 9 years as the Vice President of Sales and Engineering. He grew the business from 2012-2020 4X and increased its profitability by 23%. He was responsible for transitioning the company from an industrial converter into a medical converter over his 8 years. Jason left MBK in August 2020 and soon thereafter started The Tape Lab. The Tape Lab was created to connect the communities of Entrepreneurs and Engineers with tape and flexible material manufacturers to the converter/fabricators that make the end products. The Tape Lab was born out of a need for someone to help Engineers and Entrepreneurs develop adhesive tape solutions. The Tape Lab offers consulting as well as full-service converting solutions to their customers. They specialize in stick-to-skin solutions for medical and consumer products, however, they have a steady book of business with industrial clients too. Jason’s track record of building profitable business has continued with the success of The Tape Lab.


Susan Chambers

As the CEO and President of Strouse Corporation, Sue Chambers is responsible for leading all facets of the business. Sue has a proven executive management track record and over 20 years of experience driving sales growth and operational innovation in the adhesive conversion industry. Sue possesses strong leadership, strategic vision, and savvy marketing skills and has an MBA from Loyola University in Maryland. Sue is active in the community presently serving as Commissioner, Maryland Economic Development Commission; Chair, Industrial Development Authority, and Board Member, LifeBridge Health.  Also earned several business awards over the years. Most recently 3M has recognized Strouse as a supplier of the year.  She is also on the Dale Chambers Foundation Board that raises money for local charities in the community. 


Jay Bolus

Jay Bolus is the Vice President of Sustainability for Intertape Polymer Group Inc. In his role, Jay is responsible for the development, implementation, and continued growth of all IPG sustainability initiatives, including obtaining Cradle to Cradle certification on a growing number of IPG products. Jay leads a team of professionals dedicated to the manufacture of products that are truly safe and circular while aiming to leave behind a beneficial environmental footprint on the multitude of areas in which IPG operates. Jay has over 25 years of experience in the sustainability field with a focus on material science, toxicology, and all things Cradle to Cradle. In his former position as President and Chief Scientist at MBDC, Jay was instrumental in the development of the original Cradle to Cradle® Design Framework and was the creator of the Cradle to Cradle Certified™ Products Program. Jay worked directly with several Fortune 500 companies on the implementation of sustainability strategies and Cradle to Cradle product certifications. Jay holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Biochemistry from the University of Richmond and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Virginia.


Ed Hudson

Ed Hudson is Director of the Market Research Division at Home Innovation Research Labs, a fully-owned subsidiary of the National Association of Home Builders. For more than 25 years, Ed has provided marketing and laboratory research services to the nation’s leading manufacturers, industry associations, and government agencies in support of the development and commercialization of new construction technologies.  His role includes tracking building materials usage trends through Home Innovation’s Annual Builder Practices and Consumer Practices Reports.  Ed has an MBA from George Mason University and has been with Home Innovation Research Labs since 1994.


Kyle Rhodes

Presentation Topic: Recycling Liners and the Recovery of Matrix Waste – An introduction to CELAB

Kyle Rhodes is the Release Coating & PSA Market Manager for Elkem Silicones Americas. He ‎has a Master’s Degree in Chemistry, and has been working with adhesives and pressure ‎sensitive materials for much of his 27 year career. In previous roles, he has been a technical ‎service chemist for silicone pressure sensitive adhesives, and a development chemist in release ‎coatings for Avery Dennison. He has worked for 2 other silicone manufacturers before joining ‎Elkem Silicones in 2018. ‎

Kyle is also the President of CELAB North America. CELAB, or Circular Economy for Labels, is a ‎global consortium of companies that is focused on promoting recycling of paper and filmic ‎liners, as well as Matrix Waste during converting and slitting operations. ‎


Tom Sicilian

Business Development Manager, Henkel

Presentation Topic: The Rising Role of Digitalization: Market Insight and Applications in Printed Electronics

Tom Sicilian supports Henkel’s Printed Electronics group as a Business Development Manager. He began his 11 years with the company as a Senior Application Engineer in Henkel’s Automotive and Electronics divisions, supporting metal pretreatment, underfills, encapsulants, and printed electronics materials. Since leaving the engineering group, he has held multiple sales roles in Henkel’s Electronics Materials division. Tom earned his BS in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University. Originally from Michigan, he resides in Long Beach, CA, with his partner Courtney and their two dogs. Tom is an outdoor enthusiast who spends his free time rock climbing, trail running, and gardening.
